It's a feeling not felt in years that brings me back to this. Years or maybe just weeks, I have no perception of time, nor do I feel that it is needed for such that is life. Life? Oh whatever. Making faces with my father and racing him to the last bite of supper is all I know of it. This music is making my face feel hot, or maybe it's the wine. justin arrieta (the guy who did the super-tripple-back flipp) made national news. he was found naked on THE WHITE HOUSE LAWN! apparently, he wanted to talk to the president. they ruled that he wasn't mentally competent to participate in court proceedings.

Several months ago Ishmael would spend his time stretched on the hot pavement downstairs, or sleeping inside on our broken couch. Wherever he was, the choice was his. The flea problem got outrageous, however, and I've since moved to a new apartment. Now Ishmael grasps the little freedom he can when I happen to open the screen-less windows and he has access to the outside ledge. He will sit there for hours staring at the grass several floors below. Soon things will change though, and maybe he'll have a balcony to lounge on, or maybe my next apartment will lack a balcony while not lacking screens on the windows, as this one does.
